Payment Options

There are three payment options to choose from – see table below to compare each.

IMPORTANT: Payment dates for CAO-dependent first year students may be revised in line with CAO offer dates

Corrib Village | Academic Year 2024-25

With the exception of Standard Twin rooms, all rooms are for single occupancy.

Goldcrest Village | Academic Year 2024-25

All rooms are for single occupancy.

Dunlin Village | Academic Year 2024-25

All rooms are for single occupancy.

^Note there are only 15 Standard Single rooms available in Dunlin Village.

Booking Deposit

A booking deposit of €250 is required to secure your reservation if you are offered a room in the lottery.

• If you receive and accept an offer to study at University of Galway, the booking deposit is held for the duration of your stay and is refundable less any deductions for damage or missing items at the end of your stay.
• If you do not receive an offer from University of Galway, (or you choose not to accept) the booking deposit will be returned less an administration fee of €100, provided that you cancel your reservation by the given deadline and in adherence with our cancellation policy.

Utilities Prepayment

A utilities prepayment must be paid prior to check-in. This is a prepayment against utility consumption. Every month, a statement is issued based on metered consumption, and applied on a pro-rata basis against residents’ prepayments. If the final utility charge is greater than the prepayment, the student is liable for the difference. Any surplus will be refunded.
