CAO Applicants

Applications for accommodation in campus residences for the 2025-2026 academic year will open soon

All CAO applicants (Leaving Certificate students, A-Level students and EU school leavers) planning on coming to study at University of Galway can apply for accommodation from

Tuesday, 4 March 2025
to Monday, 31 March 2025

Rooms are available at Corrib Village, Goldcrest Village and Dunlin Village. Decide in advance which village best suits your needs and your budget – see here for descriptions, photos and more.

Only ONE application permitted per student.
You will need a 2025 CAO number to apply.
There is no fee to submit an application.
Applications must be submitted online – links will be available on this website when applications open.

Applying early does not increase your chance of being offered a room and once you submit an application, you will not be able to change it. Applications will remain open until 31 March so please do not rush.

After applications close, all valid applications will be entered into a computer-generated room lottery for the relevant village. Applicants selected by the lottery will be sent a room offer by email. A booking deposit of €250 will be required at that point to secure the room. 

International Students

There is a different accommodation application pathway and timeline for international students who do not apply to University of Galway via the CAO. Please do not apply now. See here for timelines and information relevant to you.
