Semester 1 payment is due on or before Friday, 2nd August 2013
Semester 2 payment is due on or before Wednesday, 4th December 2013
Booking Deposit
A €250 booking deposit must be paid at the time of application. If your application to Corrib Village is successful, this booking deposit is refundable less any deductions for damage or missing items. If your application to Corrib Village is unsuccessful (e.g. there are no spaces left), this booking deposit is fully refundable.
If your application to NUI Galway is unsuccessful (or you choose not to attend NUI Galway), this booking deposit will be returned less an administration fee of €100, provided that our cancellation policy has been abided by (details can be found below).
Utilities and Electricity Payment
A €550 utilities and electricity payment must be paid in conjunction with the first moiety. This is comprised of the following:
- Electricity: €325.00 – deposit payment against energy cost per resident. If the final amount incurred is greater than this amount, the student is liable for the difference. Any surplus will be refunded.
- Utilities: €225.00 – non-refundable payment to include utilities, cable TV, incoming phone line, waste collection etc.
Please note that each room will only be licensed for the full academic year. Students are liable for this period even if they do not stay for all of it.

Cancellation Policy
If the licensee wishes to cancel or is unsuccessful in their application to NUI Galway, the licensee must cancel in writing by 5:00pm on Thursday, 22nd August. Cancellations by telephone will not be accepted; they must be made by email, post, or fax.
In the event of following the above cancellation procedure, €100 administration fee will be deducted from the application fee and the remainder refunded. Refunds will be issued by bank transfer. If the applicant cancels after the cut-off point outlined above, no refund will be issued. If the applicant cancels after having paid the moiety, the onus will be on the licensee to find a replacement applicant. Atalia Student Residences Ltd. has no obligation to find an alternative licensee. Failure to do so will result in the applicant losing all monies paid.
Eviction or Early Departure
If a student is evicted, no refunds of rental will be made.
In the case of early departure, the onus is on the student to find someone to take their room. Until a replacement has been found, the student will not be refunded. Please note that when a student leaves, Corrib Village management have the right to move another resident into that student’s vacant room. If this occurs, however, the student must still find a replacement for the room which is vacant.
