Facilities

Why live anywhere else when everything you need could be on your doorstep? Corrib Village offers students a wide range of facilities to make living on campus as hassle-free as possible. Check out the full list below. To book your place at Corrib Village, click here.

Convenience Shop

At Corrib Village, we put students’ needs first. As a result, an on-site convenience shop is open to residents throughout the academic term, offering all the essentials and special deals for students.

Self-Service Laundrette

For those students who are brave enough to do their own washing, a coin-operated, self-service laundry is available on-site and is open daily.

Common Room

Sometimes it’s nice to just chill out with friends. The common room at Corrib Village is the perfect place to do just that, with a pool table, beanbags, a TV/DVD player and lots of events taking place there throughout the year.

Study Room

Contrary to what some may think, going to university does involve a certain amount of study! For that reason, Corrib Village residents have their very own study room, which comes fully equipped with desks, chairs and 16 hard-wired ports…perfect if you want to avoid queues at the library.

Sports Facilities

Corrib Village is the ideal spot if you are into sports. In addition to its on-site soccer court (charges apply) and tennis court, the village is located only a few minutes’ walk from NUI Galway’s Kingfisher Club (charges apply), which can also be accessed by shuttle bus. In addition, the Dangan Sports Complex, which boasts an 8-lane international standard track with jumping and throwing facilities, is located just down the road from Corrib Village. Dangan also caters for Gaelic Games, rugby, soccer, hockey and cross-country.

Security

At Corrib Village, we take the safety of students very seriously. The gated complex offers 24-hour security (with regular patrols) and non-residents are not permitted to enter the complex after 12:00am (midnight) unless they have been registered as an overnight guest (limited availability and length of stay). All residents are issued a Corrib Village ID card, which must be presented to security when entering the complex after this time. Apartments can only be accessed with key cards. For added comfort, students can call reception or security free of charge from any bedroom. The management team endeavour to ensure that the students residing in Corrib Village enjoy the maximum degree of comfort and security.
